This is a terminal program for CW-operators. You can transmit both from the keyboard and from the paddle connected to a joystick or LPT connector. The handle of the transceiver (PTT and CW keying) is made through one of the COM- or LPT-ports.
Pros: This is a PC based program for CW operators on the amateur band radio. It is possible to use the keyboard when the keys typed gets converted to appropriate Morse code or through Morse keyer connected to the PC via the line printer or one of the COM ports or even a USB port. A click on the "TX" button switches the transmitter on. The program transmits characters entered into the bottom window. During transmission, chars move from that window into the Sent Symbols window (upper window) so that you can monitor the transmission in real time. Chars sent by a paddle are shown in upper window also. On "Pause" sending pre-typed symbols is paused and the transmitter is left on and you can send symbols via paddle. Parameters like speed, dash/dot ratio and inter-letter space adjustments can be made. Several hot keys can be used to make these adjustments on the go too. Sound set up , signal for the transmitter input etc also can be selected from inside the program. A set of buttons on the interface marked F1 through F12 can store previously stored macros or combinations of letters. With the Edit Macros window you can edit text on macros buttons. The beacon mode allows a continuous transmission during pauses to make locating the transmitter easier. You could define different character set such as English, Russian, Swedish or even a user defined one. Font & color selections let you customize the interface to your liking.
Cons: Nothing that we noticed in particular. This one is for a very specialized set of users. Overall: Fairly well designed application that has useful features and is easy to use. This is certainly a 4 star application.
